How Jesus Saved Me
I grew up in a Christian home & wore the "Christian" mask, but beneath the mask was brokenness, indifference to the Word & rebellion against God. During my sophomore year of college, at UNI, God began to shatter my life & my idols. In this time, He used a few key people to open my eyes to the gravity of my sin & helplessness, in light of the beauty of His glory & the fullness of His mercy in the Gospel of Christ. Since then, He continues to break away the layers of my old self & reveal more of His own character through His Word & His people, transforming me slowly, painfully & joyously into the image of Jesus.
What I Do For Trinity
I have the immense honor of facilitating opportunities for God's people to approach his throne in songs of adoration, thanksgiving & supplication. And I get to work with super-talented & super-cool musicians, so that rules. I also serve Trinity's other creative needs, including photography, videography, design & this very website.
What I Do Outside Trinity
I spend most of my time with my wife, Maria, our son, Titus, and our Boston terrier, Beatrix. I also enjoy reading theology, watching Lord of the Rings, renovating our house & watching Bob Ross reruns until I fall asleep.
Random Fact
I played guitar in a metal band for a few years during and after college. We toured all over the US and Canada, and we released two albums.
