How Jesus Saved Me
I had the great blessing of growing up in a Christian home and attending Trinity Church. I have distinct memories of being involved in Sunday School, GEMS, and Youth Group, which God used to build a foundation of faith in my life. It wasn't until I was 13 years old at Lake View Camp when I entered into a personal relationship with Jesus. I was overwhelmed by His sacrifice and grace, falling to my knees, praying for forgiveness, and surrendering my life to God. What an amazing God that we serve, Who freely gives this gift of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe! Every day is a surrender to the things of this world and a denying of myself. Yet, it's through the Holy Spirit that I am being sanctified day by day.
What I Do For Trinity
What an honor it is to be in this position as the Director of Children and Family Ministry! I have the privilege of working with volunteers to cultivate environments for children to love and follow Jesus, environments where they feel safe, and where they are being discipled. Our kids are always being discipled - by what is the question. By the things of this world or by the things of God? At Trinity, we're also wanting to equip our parents to disciple their kids and to point them to Jesus in a world that's trying to pull them away. And the same goes for our volunteers who are with our kids during the week - we all have a part to play in discipling others to love and follow Jesus because we're all part of the church family, walking alongside each other!
What I Do Outside Trinity
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jordan, whether that's playing games (I crush him at cribbage), walking our Goldendoodle, Chewy, or hanging out with our friends and family. Soon that free time will be taken up when we welcome our first child in June 2024!
Random Fact
Jordan and I met through online dating! Crazy, right? I said I'd never do that and then look at what happened! The start of our relationship (and honestly, even still) is a wonderful reminder of God's sovereignty in our lives.
