The following affirmations are intended to provide clarity regarding our alignment with historical & orthodox Christian traditions, as well as our position on specific doctrines of the Christian faith.

We affirm that the Bible is the final authority for Christian faith and practice, and that creeds, catechisms & statements of faith that are drawn exclusively from Biblical truths can be useful tools to summarize our doctrinal standards.

We affirm both the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as universal statements of faith in community with Christ's global Church of all times.

We affirm that Reformed theology as established during the Protestant Reformation provides the clearest, most hopeful, and most Biblically-authentic expression of Christian belief and witness.

We affirm the Heidelberg Catechism, Canons of Dort, and the Belgic Confession as clear statements of our understanding of God's word. These historic Reformed expressions of the Christian faith summarize our need for redemption, how Christ's one, perfect sacrifice atoned for our sins, and how we should live a life of gratitude in response to this free gift from God.

We affirm the Great Lakes Catechism on Marriage and Sexuality (2018).

We affirm Trinity's Statement on Human Sexuality (2015) as a further statement of Trinity's beliefs.

We affirm that Christ has instituted two sacraments: baptism and the Lord's Supper.

We affirm that baptism is a sign of the new covenant of redemption and is freely available to the children of Christian believers, similarly to how circumcision was freely given in Old Testament times as a sign of inclusion with the people of God.

We affirm that adult believers should be baptized as adults at the time of their profession of faith, but only if they have not previously been baptized.

We affirm that Christ is spiritually but not physically present during the celebration of the Lord's supper.

We affirm that all of the spiritual gifts given to the New Testament Church are still in operation today. However, Christian believers do not need to experience further signs, wonders, or other supernatural occurrences to be a follower of Christ. our salvation is based solely on the blood of Christ. Nothing we do or experience can add to Christ's finished work.
